It's a start... · 2006-06-14 19:57

Well, it still looks shitty. At least I figured out how to get my images to display properly. After farting around, trying to manipulate code I know less than dick about, I stumble upon the Greatest Discovery of All Time…Textpattern (in all its infinite glory) actually shows you the XHTML code you need to put in your layout for images to actually show up. I’ll be Goddamned…

So, after this monumental discovery, I figure out how to make my own buttons for links (which I wanted to do from the start). I’d like this layout to look somewhat original, so there’s quite a bit of work to be done.

As you can see, I have put up a rudimentary banner and some linkage (hooray for the drop shadow tool!!). Comments kinda work too. I know, everything looks wonky, and there’s always the chance that I’ll never pull this half-assed web page theme off, or scrap it and start developing a new one. But at least I have started to understand the basics. I think a final concept (i.e. content, theme, navigation, etc) is a long way off. But I’m ending on a good note today…

And on that note, I’m gonna go fuck the shit out of Crazy Taxi 2 before I hit up the Adult Swim. Later fuckwipes!
